About Dakshin Surma Upazila
Dakshin Surma Upazila is located in the Sylhet District, in the north-eastern part of Bangladesh. It is bordered by: North: Sylhet Sadar Upazila
East: Golapganj Upazila
West: Bishwanath and Balaganj Upazilas
South: Balaganj and Fenchuganj Upazilas. The upazila is known for its rich cultural heritage, lush greenery, and vibrant communities that continue to inspire pride among its diaspora worldwide.Dakshin Surma consists of 10 Union Parishads, which form the core of our association’s heritage:

Dakshin Surma Sports Association - UK
Dakshin Surma Sports Association – UK (DSSA-UK) is a non-profit sports organization established in 2017. DSSA-UK proudly participates in the Sonali Othith UK tournaments, particularly the prestigious Upozila Tournament, held annually. This one-day event unites players from across the UK, each representing their ancestral Upozilas—the regions in Bangladesh where their fathers originate.
Celebrating heritage, community, and sportsmanship, the tournament emphasizes the deep connection between generations and their cultural roots. DSSA-UK fosters unity and pride within the Bangladeshi diaspora, providing a platform for sports enthusiasts to reconnect with their identity and build strong community bonds.

OUR MISSION:
Established in 2017, Dalshin Surma Sports Association UK proudly participates in the Sonali Othith UK tournaments, where the prestigious Upozila Tournament is held annually. Vision:
To inspire future generations of Bangladeshi-origin athletes in the UK, encouraging participation in local and national tournaments that celebrate their ancestral heritage.

Goals
• Promote the annual Upazila Tournament as a flagship event, encouraging participation from players across the UK.
• Strengthen the bond between the Bangladeshi diaspora and their cultural heritage through sports and community activities.

Dakshin Surma FC proudly reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious Upazila Cup tournament in 2018, marking a historic achievement for the team and community.
